Severe acne sometimes does not work with ordinary drugs. Some cases of acne sometimes get treatment with antibiotics. But the provision of these hard drugs should not be arbitrary must with the permission of the doctor.

Not all cases of acne require treatment with antibiotics, since antibiotics are generally given if the patient has severe acne levels, in which case the severity is assessed by the examining physician.

Commonly severe acne include nodular and cystic acne. In such cases the dermatologist will prescribe antibiotics especially if the spots that appear are at risk of becoming serious infections. But if acne is only on the surface then antibiotics are not needed.

Another antibiotic function is to reduce the irritation of chemicals produced by white blood cells, reduce the concentration of free fatty acids in the sebum and reduce the inflammatory response (inflammation).
